Nina Malysheva was born in St. Petersburg in 1988 and immigrated to the UK when she was six years old.
Her artistic ambitions were sowed and strengthened during her four years at The BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology where she studied, amongst many academic subjects, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography, Media and Textiles.
She spent a further year at the University College for the Creative Arts, Maidstone and eventually graduated from Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London in 2010 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Illustration.
Nina’s work is very versatile; she believes in language and communication over “style” and usually tends to identify working methods that are tailored to the brief in question. However, her main interest lies in drawing, printmaking and collage.
An avid storyteller and image-maker, she loves to generate cinematic visual narratives for texts and one-off concepts, but has also worked alongside musicians, developing visual identities for their work.
Nina currently lives and works in London. She is a keen collector, sorter, observer and absorber, who is open to all learning experiences and always excited about producing new things. |
